More Dolphin strikes while fishing in Punta Cana Dominican Republic

Last week was also a very good fishing week as we predicted before. We fished more than 30 doraros (  Dolphin fish) and many barracudas, wahoos and a couple of  sailfish released. White marlins are not in our target because season is from the end of March to July but  baits are in the water( One never know) The ocean is a bit cold because of winter time but during afternoon it get  warmer. Most of the fisherman search to fish morning time but me as experienced fisherman like most in the afternoon now a day instead during the summer time morning is the best option.

Sailfish released in Punta Cana. Monday 17th 2014

We been fishing for more than 20 years in Punta Cana Dominican Republic but yesterday was a great fishing day we had 36 dorados, 2 wahoos and a sail fish. The dorados (Dolphin fish) were from 10 pounds to 25 pounds we call them (chacletas) Flip-flop fish because of their small size. During winter time in our local waters is a good season for fast breading fishes like sailfish, dorados, wahoos and barracudas also some blue marlins can be caught.  Our ocean is calm with some showers, the temperatures 86 Fahrenheit 30 Celsius, the wind of the North East 19 km/h. 

Hope during new moon to increase the success in the afternoon  charters.

Dorados and Blue Marlin Caught in Punta Cana during November

We had a great fishing day November 11th 2014 in Punta  Cana we had 10 dorados and a blue marlin caught at only five miles after clearing reef, fish are very close from shore at this time of the year. Dorados are spawning in our local area so we been successful because of it.  The blue marlin was released after a nice customer's picture.
